Dr Dagmara Madra-Gawin

I graduated from the University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Wroclaw, Poland, in 2007. At the beginning of my career, I had been working for an emergency care provider in a veterinary hospital near London. Shortly after, I relocated to beautiful Yorkshire, where I gained valuable experience working in bustling small animal practices. I dedicated several years of my career to emergency veterinary services at a referral hospital, before returning to first opinion practice.

My passion for surgery has consistently driven my professional development. Years of experience and hard work enabled me to complete two surgical certificates. As a recognition of my expertise, I have been awarded the RCVS Advanced Practitioner Status in Small Animal Surgery in 2021.

Throughout my career I had the privilege of working with many amazing and knowledgeable vets, which enabled me to expand my own skill set and provide the best care to my patients. Over the years, I’ve broadened my skills, not only in surgery but also ultrasonography, diagnostic imaging, neurology, medicine and ophthalmology.  

In my spare time I enjoy running, hiking, skiing and supporting my sons during their football matches.
