Hospitalisation

We know that having to leave your pet with us, should they need to be hospitalised, can be a very worrying time so, we will do what we can to put your mind at ease during their stay.

Our caring team of nurses give a very high level of care to all patients, with two qualified nurses living at the Boston Spa practice so they are on hand to continue that level of care out of hours.

We will make sure you get regular updates and we will even send you photos of your pet while they are with us. We can also arrange visits for you.

Whilst your pet is with us, they will be monitored regularly. We will check on their pain levels and give them pain relief as necessary. We will make sure they are fed, warm and as comfortable as possible.

We also have an isolation ward for those pets with infectious diseases, making sure they and our other patients are safe. If intensive care nursing is required, we can refer you to Holly House Veterinary Hospital.

Pharmacy

We have onsite, temperature controlled pharmacies at both practices with many medicines in stock. If we don’t have what you need in stock, we can order it for next day delivery in most cases.

  • If you need a prescription, we need 24 hours’ notice and then they can be picked up from the practice
  • Regular check-ups are needed for prescription-only medicines. Some check-ups can be incorporated with your yearly vaccination appointment and the other check-ups booked in between

Retail Display

We stock a selection of high quality toys, collars, leads and pet training products. Our staff are all trained to advise you on the most suitable product for your pet. Or dietary ranges include Royal Canin and Natures Range and can be ordered directly into practice. You can do this on our website, here.
